Welcome to 1st Steps Housing & Support CIC

1st steps housing & support CIC is a Community Interest Company dedicated to providing safe, stable and well-managed supported accommodation for vulnerable adults across Hull and the surrounding area.

Our mission is simple: to provide safe housing, meaningful support and positive outcomes for people who need help rebuilding their lives and achieving greater independence.

We support individuals experiencing homelessness, those recovering from drug and alcohol dependency, ex-offenders and vulnerable adults who require housing-related support to maintain independent living.

Our Approach

We believe that accommodation is only one part of the journey. Through person-centred support, practical guidance and partnership working, we help residents develop the confidence, skills and resilience needed to move towards a more independent future.

Our Team

Our organisation combines extensive supported accommodation experience with strong business and governance expertise.

Our operational team has over 16 years of combined experience working within supported accommodation services, supporting vulnerable adults, homelessness services, recovery pathways and housing-related support.

Our leadership team also brings over 25 years of management, governance and business experience gained through working with major national organisations and operating successful businesses.

Working With Landlords

We work closely with landlords who share our commitment to providing safe, high-quality accommodation for vulnerable adults.

Our landlord partnerships are built on professionalism, transparency and long-term relationships. We aim to provide landlords with a reliable and responsible organisation that understands property standards, compliance requirements and effective housing management.

By working alongside landlords, we can increase the supply of quality accommodation and create more opportunities for vulnerable individuals to access safe and supportive housing.

Partnership Working

We recognise that successful outcomes are achieved through collaboration. We work alongside local authorities, referral agencies, recovery services, probation services, healthcare providers and community organisations to ensure residents receive the support they need.
